"I had a really nice time learning with Nick. All lessons where laid back but kept to the point.This helped keep down the pressure and I felt so much better. He did not mind that I hit the curb once. I enjoyed my lessons and I could not wait to have my next one.

Nick helped me through and booked my theory test which I passed first time.  Nick kept telling me that I would pass my driving test first time too but I did not think I would but I did.  If I wanted to drive somewhere like Swindon he would say yes and that made it so much better. If I didn’t think I was good at something I could ask if we could work on that a bit in a lesson.

So thanks to Stroud driving school I passed first time and I did my pass plus and passed that too.

Nick was the first and only driving instructor I ever had, after my friend recommended him to me I decided to give Stroud driving school a try and have never regretted the decision since! All lesson where laid back which brought down the tension and pressure involved with learning, I enjoyed every lesson I had with nick and I owe him a great deal from them, after having my first test cancelled due to the amount of examiners ill that date and then missing the next one I booked due to miss reading the date of the test, nick still helped me through and when I finally got my first test… I passed it first time – there was not a single thing on the test that nick didn’t point out and teach me in lessons, So thanks to Stroud driving school I am finally on the road, and a big thanks to nick!

I found Stroud District Driving School over the Internet, and had been looking for someone who was reasonably priced and local.What I got was a lot more than that, as the lessons were fun, comfortable and never too serious, which suited me nicely, as I felt that other larger established schools might lack the personal touch.

I took around 30 hours of lessons in total and enjoyed every one of them. I learned with Nick and never met Jamie but I have no reason to doubt he wouldn't be as relaxed, friendly and quirky."

Most instructors have been known to just talk and bore you through the first lesson but Nick gets you straight into some nice, easy driving which is exactly what you want. "I've recently passed my driving test after taking my lessons with Stroud District Driving School. I took the start to finish course option of which enabled me to achieve the national standard driving level over a 30 hour period of which i used up within 3 months. I had never been in a car before starting my lessons therefore i was very nervous but i found i was made to feel calm and relaxed and it was also nice to have an instructor who was very social, which made me feel more at ease as i'm not a fan of silence. I was very fortunate to have both instructors teaching me and they both equally had a great positive impact on my driving.They taught me in stages and made sure i was completely confident before taking my driving to the next level. Due to their skill and persistence, I passed first time and within 2 and a half months of driving. At the start, I had lessons with Nick and soon had to change cars while his was in the garage but he made this transition very easy and I felt very comfortable. After getting the car back from the garage, Nick continued with my lessons in an extremely positive and enthusiastic manner. This was until he decided to go and break his leg! (I hope it's better by the way). Jamie took on Nick's pupils and managed to squeeze me into his already busy schedule and we had intensive driving lessons on the week leading up to my test. "When I first started driving lessons, I think both me & Nick, my instructor, were a bit worried about the possible consequences, due to my Dyspraxia, which means that I have hand-eye coordination difficulties.
